Splendid Vanilla Ice Cream Cake with Blackberry Sauce and a Pastry Affair

We just couldn’t leave well enough alone.


Sure, the Malted Ice Cream Cake with Blackberry Topping would be good. But what if, just say, we mashed it up with the vanilla recipe from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home instead? What would happen?

Pretty much as you’d expect might happen when Nicole’s in the kitchen with a camera (that’s the lullaby I’ll sing to my kids one day, I know, I kno-ow.) And when you’re using one of the finest vanilla ice cream recipes in the universe… you get a truly spectacular ice cream cake, redolent with blackberries.
